Hyperchip leading employer in both Quebec and Canada
MONTREAL - October 25, 2002 - Hyperchip Inc,
a leading developer of core IP systems, today announced that it has
been included in two prestigious top employer lists, Canada's Top
100 Employers and Le Palmarès du Quebec. Both these nominations
highlight Hyperchip's positive employee experience, from excellent
benefits, to the work environment, flexibility, management feedback
and accessibility.
Canada's Top 100 Employers Editor Richard Yerema and
his team of researchers at Mediacorp Canada Inc. started by examining
over 47,000 companies and organizations across Canada. From these,
6,000 employers were invited to provide detailed information about
their employee benefits, working conditions and overall human resources
programs. The new 2003 edition of Canada's Top 100 Employers will
be released in November. "The book is a catalogue of best practices,"
says publisher Anthony Meehan, "when it comes to recruiting and
retaining outstanding employees." Now in its 3rd annual edition,
the book was named Canada's top-selling business book by The Globe
and Mail last year.
"Hyperchip has been able to attract a young and
extremely qualified team of researchers, including leading engineers
who previously decided to work outside Quebec in order to be able
to work on world-class projects", highlights Brian Barry, Hyperchip's
CEO. "It is of foremost importance to offer them a working environment
corresponding to the efforts they deploy to develop one of the key
piece of the next-generation Internet networks."
"We are really proud of the various accolades Hyperchip
received recently," adds Brian Barry. In the past, Hyperchip
was recognized as a top investment opportunity [Canada IT Financing
Forum's Investor's Choice and Network Outlook's Investor's Choice],
and an exciting start up [Telecommunications Magazine Start Up To
Watch]. Recently Red Herring Magazine placed us in their list of the
50 private companies in the world most likely to influence the future,
and now these two top employer nominations are highlighting the quality
of our internal environment."
