MONTREAL,April 10th,2002 – Hyperchip is pleased to announce the appointment of Michael McCaughey as Senior Vice President,Hardware & Logistics.An accomplished executive with 20 years experience in manufacturing,operations and management,Mr.McCaughey brings extensive
knowledge in contract manufacturing,quality processes and customer support infrastructures from companies such as Philips Electronics,VIA Systems and SCI Systems,Inc.

As Senior Vice President,Hardware &Logistics,Mr.McCaughey will work closely with the senior management team to evolve Hyperchip into a leading world-class equipment vendor.While spearheading this transformation,he will ensure the deployment of quality processes throughout all operational aspects of the organization,from efficient manufacturing processes to post-sales support infrastructures.

Mr.McCaughey ’s career has exposed him to various facets of operations and general management in manufacturing,engineering,supply chain management,product development,and business development environments.In his most recent role,he was Senior Vice-President,Canada and US North-East,and an Executive Officer at SCI Systems,Inc.,where he implemented a strategy that enabled his division to grow from $30 million to $1.2 billion in revenue,and from 180 to over 3,000 employees.Mr.McCaughey ’s experience at SCI included the successful acquisition of businesses and
assets in Canada,as well as the development and advancement of key customer relationships.
